HALF DRAGON HALF UNICORN
Between stimulus and response, there is space. In that space lies our freedom and power to choose our response. In our response lies our growth and freedom -- Viktor Frankl (1905 - 1997)

WHAT FANDOM I'M IN?

I think the reason I'm so sarcastic in real life, and the reason I adore tumblr so much, is because I'm in so many crazy fandom consist of crazy ass people with crazy obsession either to fictional character or men they can't reach. They might be crazy, but I am proud calling myself part of them! Long Live all fandom!

The Secret HistoryThe Secret History by Donna Tartt
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Let me tell you about my favorite character in the book. I started to adore him quite early. He was Henry Winter. To be honest, I couldn't really remember the description of his appearance, but several things about his character lingered on my mind.

Henry translated Paradise Lost from English to Latin for fun, yet he didn't know that human had reached the moon and couldn't comprehend how it happened. Henry was described as "a stoic that had a dedication to his studies and general contempt for the thing of this world". Henry was filthy rich, but it didn't make people of status fond of him. Quite the contrary, people of his status disliked him, "nonetheless he had a genuine knack with poor people". Being a student of Classic Greek, he was a superstitious man. He was cold but full of kindness and warmth toward people he genuinely loved. And not even death frighten him. I personally think that he was how Hades would be personified.

So, I'm just gonna let this description here, because I'm too sentimental right now to write a proper review. I gave five stars solely for Henry.
